Westgate Town Square is a new town centre located to the North West of Auckland. The town square is a high quality urban open space forming the community heart of the area.
Walkspace was responsible for the design, supply and delivery of all bespoke public furniture elements to the project which included seating, benches, tree guards and surrounds, bike racks, skate deterrents, drinks fountains and the key square feature centrepieces; the kauri arbor light poles.
With a strong focus on a high level of quality, design, ergonomics and maintainability, Walkspace worked with AT, lead Architects Boffa Miskell and the contractor JFC from the outset to provide technical assistance to ensure the key objectives were met and exceeded.
Stage 1 is now completed and open to the public.
