The Kaiapoi Riverbanks Enhancement project is a response from the community to see the riverbank enhanced to strengthen Kaiapoi’s river town identity. The project is split into several zones but the intent is to integrate these zones and unite the east and west banks of the river.
This project, which is being undertaken by the Waimakariri District Council in conjunction with Environment Canterbury (ECan), is part of the overall earthquake recovery and regeneration of the Kaiapoi Riverbanks area.
Walkpsace supplied the catalogue B Series seating and benches, the Walkspace BL_04 fixed and removable bollards as well as the BN_02 single bins to the project in stainless steel 316 to offer environmental durability and to further strengthen the nautical themes present in the project.
The positioning of the seating along the banks of the Kaiapoi River offers the public plenty of options to sit, relax, and enjoy the environment.
